weekly update
Happy Friday, everyone!
Progress is continuing on both the barrel piano and Monitor Grand. We spent most of this week preparing the action of the Monitor Grand for reassembly and regulation. We have attached the shanks and flanges and prepared the action for its next step, which is attaching jacks and preparing the action for a full regulation.
As for the barrel piano, we have now put in 9,800 pins. And we're still going! Progress is slow but steady.
Until next week...Stay musical!

Weekly Update
This week has flown by! We are making phenomenal progress on the barrel piano. So far we've repined 4,200 pins in the barrel, and we just got more pins in, so we're going to keep progressing on that project!
As for the monitor, we've made some real headway. We've almost completely built the action back up, and we're almost ready to attach hammers and move on to key work.
In other news, we are helping a friend of ours sell their Baldwin Acrosonic, and you can see the ad for that here.
Until next Friday, stay musical!

Weekly Blog
What a busy week it's been!
We've been focusing all of our attention on the 1850's Barrel Piano. We've moved on to re-pinning the barrel and that means we've entered the most time consuming part of this project. We are happy to announce, however, that we are making slow but steady progress.
The 1873 Monitor Grand is strung, but has taken a back seat while we focus on accomplishing all the things we need to get done on the barrel piano first.
Speaking of barrel piano, here's a picture of it!
I'll be taking time every Friday to update everyone on how things are going at the shop. So until next Friday, stay musical!
