Since 1972, Marshall Luke has been a tuner, rebuilder and restoration specialist. Luke Piano was known for remanufacturing Steinways and historic pianos. He retired in 2018 but remains tuning in the south end of Denver, Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Centennial and Greenwood Village. Service area also includes, South East Aurora and Parker as well as Castle Rock.

Outlying areas have small travel charges.

Pricing

Basic in home tunings are $225.

Grand pianos are $250 but include cleaning the soundboard and plate.

Pianos that have not been serviced in many years often require an additional tuning called a pitch raise, this restores the piano to serviceable pitch for tuning and costs $75.

The Tuning

Tunings are now calibrated to a precise program called cyber tuner, this is ten times more accurate than the human ear, consequently expect this tuning time to extend beyond an hour or more. I schedule morning appointments at 9:00am and 1:30pm in the afternoon. This allows me to not have to do back to back appointments anymore. I can spend the necessary time to do a good tuning.

Repairs

Many repairs are no charge, some that go over 20 minutes might have a small charge, but it is my goal to leave the piano trouble free and durable for a year.

Commercial Tunings

I have serviced church and school pianos for my whole career. Littleton Public Schools, as well as many private schools are some, but churches occupy much of my time as well.
